It is a three-part musical and drama series that follows the story of the pioneers of R & B Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Ronnie Devoe, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill as they move to fame in a short time. The series begins where the first part is presented the year is 1978, in the city, Roxbury, MA, outside Boston. The 11-year-old Bobby Brown convinces some friends to perform at local talent shows to try to make money.
